thunderbolt to firewire400 adapter?
Hi, I've got a TimeMachine with FW400 connection and want to buy a new MacBook Pro that only has Thunderbolt. I've searched for a Thunderbolt to FW400 adapter, but only find one that says it's for Thunderbolt to FW800. Is there an adapter for TB to FW400? Or am I going to have to daisy chain (FW400 to FW800, then FW800 to Thunderbolt)? Thanks!

I use a Retina Macbook Pro which obviously doesn't have an ethernet port. Can the TC work wirelessly without the need of the TC being hard wired?
I have a few quick questions regarding the Time Capsule.
I'm interested in getting the 2TB version to backup my rMBP, an iMac and 2 external usb hard drives.
I'm assuming that back up works wirelessly for each device, once setup using the Airport Utility? There is no need to hardwire each Mac to setup and continue to use Time Machine on the TC?
I won't need to buy a Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter for my rMBP in order to use the Time Capsule on this machine?
The TC doesn't (and can't) replace my main router?

FIOS
I just got a MacBook Pro (early 2011 edition). I don't yet have an external hard drive, but want to get a 2 TB drive. I am about to get Verizon's FIOS, which comes with its own router. Should I get a Time Capsule ($500, including a router) or a 2 TB ext. hard drive (such as LaCie), which costs about $225 (for example, LaCie d2 Quadra Hard Disk 2 TB eSATA/FireWire800/FireWire400/USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive 301500U (Aluminum)). Given the fact that the FIOS has its own router, and I would have to disengage EITHER the FIOS router or the Time Capsule router if I use the Time Capsule, would I be getting anything of value that I otherwise wouldn't ge, or make things simpler, if I spend the extra $250 for the Time Capsule? I can't get a straight answer from either Apple or Verizon. And if I DO get a Time Capsule, which of the routers should I disengage-the one that comes with the FIOS or the one that comes with the Time Capsule?

I've moved from CA to the UK. Does TC's power cord work with a simple wall adapter or will it need a converter? HELP!
My TC came with a US power cord and I don't see any options to buy a UK power cord separately. I'm afraid of blowing things up if I just plug this (non Mac-ish) power cord into a simple wall adapter w/o knowing for sure that it will work just like Mac power cords (which are totally universal and don't need converters...just wall adapters).

Can this be hooked up to a DVR?
My DVR can use SATA to connect an external harddrive. Is it possible to use a USB to SATA adapter in order to connect the Time Capsule to the box? Has anyone successfully done this?
Thanks in advance for any info, or advice.- Asked by Jason L from New York
