And also besides serving as a router it will also backup my macbook pro wirelessly via time machine?

will time capsule work with linksys 3000?
I have a modem from the cable company... I have a dell i7 with 8GB ramm, 1.5 TB and two - 2.0 TB drives and a 1 GB video card. I have connected this to a 32 " monitor with 4 HDMI imputs spaces... and it is imput #1. I have a loaded Mac Mini that is going into HMDI #2 with a 2 TB iomega drive attatched to it. I am interested on how I could use this 2 TB time capsule in conjunctions with my excisting linksys router wireless net work... I also have two iphones and two ipads... that already use the Linksys network along with two sony wireless computers. I would like to see if I could set up the Time Capsule to do the back up for the Mac Mini... and allow the iphone, ipads, and other wireless devices connect to it as well by changing the wifi network selction on that particular device... and still have it password protected? Oh... and also access the internet through this device as well? Do I need a dual output modem? Do they make those? BTW... the other two HDMI ports are going to be for an apple TV and a WDHD TV... the lights dim sometimes when I turn it on... I am interested in your thoughts on either how to handle this configuration... or is there a better option and what would be the trade-offs?

Can I Setup Time Capsule in bridge Mode with my Linksys E3000
I would like to use my Linksys E3000 router as my main device. I just like the functions of the time capsule for wireless backup using Time Machine. I have read that you can set the Time Capsule in bridge mode and connect it to my Linksys via the Ethernet cable. I want to use my wireless signal from my Linksys and just use the Time Capsule as a backup.
Still connected to my Linksys Wifi signal on my Macbook will Time machine work
Thus being connected to the Time Capsule though the linksys.
Macbook to the linksys and linksys to the time cap
The wireless function of the Time Capsule are just to limited.
Will this work?- Asked by Chris F from Dania Beach

Bridging the Time Capsule but using it as a WIFI access point and use with Windows Server 2008 for serving the IP addresses in my WAN. Can it be done?
I would like to use this device in my office environment. We have been moving form PC to MAC and loving every min. My current set up is this, MODEM (bridged) connected to WIFI - DLINK router connected to WINDOWS Server (which is serving up the IP address within my WAN).
Can I replace my DLINK with the Time Capsule to achieve the same results. Using the server to serve the IP address and the Time Capsule to use as a WIFI access point and the back up drive of course.

If using the time capsule as a router, can I limit who on the network has access to the hard drive portion of it?
I am interested in getting the Time Capsule to use as a wireless router in my house to replace the piece of junk one I have and to have large storage capacity. My problem is I have roommates who would also be using the same network, but I wouldnt want them to have access to the data I would store on it. Is there any way I can configure it to work as a router for all roommates but limit access to its hard drive/storage capabilities to just myself?
Furthermore, if instead I were to continue to use my old router (a linksys), is there any way to set up the Time Capsule as a wireless repeater to strengthen the signal in my bedroom on the other side of the house?
One more thing....does anyone have any experience using this router outside of the US? Ive got decent/normal internet connectivity from my ISP but I wouldnt want to get a time capsule if it could potentially not be compatible with a non-US service provider. Thanks.- Asked by Tim W from Chester

Extending a wireless network with a non-apple router.
If I buy this, would I be able to set this as the base station, and use a Netgear router as an extender? Or do the routers need to be the same brand?
