If using the time capsule as a router, can I limit who on the network has access to the hard drive portion of it?

I am interested in getting the Time Capsule to use as a wireless router in my house to replace the piece of junk one I have and to have large storage capacity. My problem is I have roommates who would also be using the same network, but I wouldnt want them to have access to the data I would store on it. Is there any way I can configure it to work as a router for all roommates but limit access to its hard drive/storage capabilities to just myself?

Furthermore, if instead I were to continue to use my old router (a linksys), is there any way to set up the Time Capsule as a wireless repeater to strengthen the signal in my bedroom on the other side of the house?

One more thing....does anyone have any experience using this router outside of the US? Ive got decent/normal internet connectivity from my ISP but I wouldnt want to get a time capsule if it could potentially not be compatible with a non-US service provider. Thanks.

Does anyone know if Time Capsule is compatible with AT&T 2wire modem and router?

I want to buy Time Capsule for my iMac, but i am worried that the wireless router in TIme Capsule will interfere with the wireless router in the AT&T 2wire. The AT&T 2wire is a single unit that contains both modem and a router. I was wondering if anyone has any experience using these 2 devices and if they are compatible. In particular, Is there a way of disabling or by passing the router in the AT&T 2wire?

Can I use another router with the time capsule? I really just want to use the time capsule as a wireless external hard drive and wireless printer station. Also do I have to directly connect the time capsule to the modem and/or other router?

I am planning to get a Time Capsule and i was wondering if you could set it up as a new router. Also, can you use it as an external hard drive on a PC? I am a PC user.

How easy is it to migrate from a 1st gen Time Capsule to the latest?

I have a first gen Time Capsule, and I'm thinking of buying the latest model, but how do you go about transferring the settings from one TC to another? I'm using the TC as a wireless router as well, so all the wireless settings would need to be migrated, including security settings, MAC addresses, etc.

Is there an automated way to do this, or will I need to manually set up the new Time Capsule, by taking note of all the original TC's settings and putting them into the new one? I can't find much out there on this topic on the web. I'm hoping it will all be automated but would like to know how this would work, from anyone who might have done this themselves...

Time Capsule vs my campus wireless?

I'm wondering about the automatic backup feature, primarily.

I live on a college campus with a wireless network that works just fine. In order to use the automatic backup feature of Time Capsule, would I have to disconnect from my campus wireless and connect to the time capsule (thus disabling my internet)? I'm not allowed to set up my own wireless networks, so using the Time Capsule as my wireless router point wouldn't work.

Can the time capsule be used to extend the wireless range of my router witnought plugging in a network cable

I have a bt router which transmits a week wireless signal to the first floor of my house.
Is It possible to use the time capsule to extend the range of my network and put it on the first floor witnought connecting it to my bt home hub.
