Can I use Airport Extreme with foreign ISP?
My husband is living in China, and has wired internet. I would like to set him up with wireless...would also mean we can both be on line when I visit, less friction than trying to share a wired connection. Will Airport Extreme work in China?

Can I have two Airport Extreme's configured as the same network but have a different ISP connected to each? So it would be bonded or redundant ISP
One Airport Extreme is already in the house, but I would like to also install one on the boat and connect it to my wireless ISP. I would like to set them up on the same network so when I move from the boat to the house it's all the same network, but when I take the boat out of port I would draw data from the wireless ISP and could control and stream to apple TV as well. With out having to make any changes on my phone.

Does this take the place of my ISP provided router, or does this connect to that, sorry new to the whole networking thing!
I have a new iMac, I really want to go to a wireless setup for all of our stuff. My ISP has given us a "Westell" router that hooks up to the phone line, and to everything else with an ethernet cable. Do I still need that router or Can I just buy the "airport extreme" to take it's place? I dont really understand all of the technology stuff, please someone help me out, thanks!

Can I link 3 computers to share a hard drive as backup AND ditch my existing ISP-provider broadband router?
I'd like to link up three computers (all Mac of different age and spec) in a wireless manner so that (a) they all have access to the internet (b) I can transfer files between them (c) they share a central hard drive as backup (d) I can keep a couple of students living next door off my internet connection who occasionally try to access the internet via my broadband connection. If I could hardwire my old printer into this, that would be even better.
Can I do this with AirPort Extreme, and how could I configure this? At the moment, the wifi is set up so that each piece of equipment is linked to the router via Wifi or Ethernet cable, I wold prefer to replace the router and not to link AirPort Extreme via an Ethernet cable to the existing router. (and no, I don't understand most computer-related acronyms, sorry!)
ANY help wold be appreciated!

Will I have less wifi drops if I switch from an Express to an Extreme?
I have an Airport Express that I have used for years to connect to my mac computers. Currently I have an iMac with Lion. In the last couple of months, my Express starting dropping wifi frequently during the day...sometimes every five minutes, sometimes longer. Most frustrating. I read about the problem in Apple support and moved it away from my computer and digital phone...changed some other signal features and it improved considerably. But....it continues to drop wifi quite regularly..often several times a day. I wonder if switching to an Airport Extreme would solve the problem...or not.

Will the airport extreme work with a time warner cable modem?
I have a cable modem that was given to me by time warner cable, my ISP. My question is, will an airport extreme work correctly with something like this?
Also, my ISP only allows five devices to be connected at one time, so I was wondering if this would be an issue, or if any devices connected to the airport extreme would all be counted as just one?- Asked by Susan L from Brooktondale

How to set up Airport Extreme with TPG ADSL2+ (Australia)?
I had set up my wireless network with a Belkin router and a TPG ADSL2+ internet connection. Recently I bought an AirPort Extreme because it works better with Airplay. However, the connection between TPG and the AirPort Extreme is very unreliable. There are a lot of confusing settings, such as DHCH or PPPoE - TPG says to use PPPoE, but maybe online have said that TPG's PPPoE doesn't work with Macs and that I should use DHCH, on bridge mode.
It was working for a few weeks but once a week it would drop out and I'd reset the Dynalink RTA 1320 modem. However now it stopped working and I've tried a lot of different settings and it refuses to stay online for any more than 10 minutes.
This should not be that difficult - if anyone has it working with any ISP I am happy to change ISPs too. Too frustrated with TPG's non-existent customer service.- Asked by Tony N from Sydney

Does the AirPort Extreme Work Everywhere?
I'm thinking of buying the AirPort Extreme but I am just wondering after I install it to my computer, that wherever I take it, will it give my computer access to the internet or does it only work when there is a cable connecting it to somewhere? And if it helps I have the Newest Macbook Pro. Thank You for your Help! :)

will airport extreme work with a fairpoint router?
My current ISP is Fairpoint (NH) with a high speed fiber optic connection. They provide an Actiontec wireless router. Unfortunately, the router does not support Mac wireless. I would like to add an Airport Extreme Base Station to an ethernet output on the Actiontec router. Will this give me fully Mac compatible wireless service? I also wonder which network name and password to use. A few months ago I tried to connect the AEBS to the Actiontec router, but the amber light never stopped blinking. At that point I gave up. I'm ready to try again.

Extending Roaming Network, Airport Extreme with APPLE TV
I have a Time Capsule on the third floor of my house in the office. I use this as the DHCP router. Wireless coverage is good on the top and middle floor, however when I get to the bottom floor the signal is weaker, slower and prone to drop outs.
The bottom floor is where I have my older second iMac, a MacBook Pro, and my home theater which has Apple TV. They all can get a weak wireless signal from the Time Capsule, but like I said it is slow and unreliable. I want to create a roaming network by adding an Airport Extreme to the bottom floor. I have heard that a solid connection from Time Capsule to Airport Extreme with Cat6 or Cat5e ethernet cable is the much preferred and more reliable way to do this.
I would need to run the Cat6 cable on the outside of the house, approximately 120 feet down from the office. There is already a Coax cable that makes that same run to provide cable TV to my bottom floor home theater. I would plan to set the Extreme in bridge mode to act as another Wireless Access Point.
Questions:
1. Is exterior grade Cat6 cable available to make this outside run?
2. Will the transmission be affected if the Cat6 runs close to the Coax cable?
3. The Apple TV device will be in close proximity to where I plan to place the Airport Extreme, should they be connected via ethernet port or connected wirelessly?
4. Would I need to set the Time Capsule and the Airport Extreme to different channels?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.- Asked by David H from Vancouver
