Does the new Airport Extreme support QoS?
I know the older models did not support QoS, but am very hopeful the new model will. To be more specific, I believe the protocol is 802.11e, and allows a user to give priority to VoIP and internet-related calling. Having this feature would allow VoIP users like myself to use T-Mobile UMA calling and traditional VoIP services without being choppy or suffer from latency.

Does the Airport Extreme support QoS yet?
It has been over six months since this question was last asked. Has the product been updated for QoS yet?
My home network includes a VoIP ATA, which is very sensitive to higher bandwidth network activity (video streaming, downloading, etc). A lack of QoS would be a deal-breaker.- Asked by Michael B from Naperville

Limit User Access feature in Airport Extreme
If you use the Access Control feature and enter the MAC address of the computers that you want to limit access, how does it disable users at the designated time? Will it only work when the user logs off, sleeps or reboots? What will cause the rules to go into effect?

Does the guest network feature require DHCP to be enabled on the Airport Extreme?
I already have a fairly complex home network setup including a DHCP server that I wish to retain. I would like to have the main wireless clients get their addresses from the main DHCP server (that is not problem I know). However, I would also like to use the 'guest network' feature of the Airport Extreme and I do not want those 'guest' clients to have to get a DHCP address from my main DHCP server; rather I want the Airport Extreme to assign them addresses. Is this possible?

How to use AirPort Extreme with 2wire 2701
I have AT&T DSL with the 2wire 2701. Recently I began experiencing an intermittent signal on my MacBook that lasts several seconds and then reboots--this happens multiple times per hour. AT&T has sent out 4 technicians without solving this issue. After some online searching, I see that this is a common issue with Macs. They are bring a new 2 wire tonight, but I fear the same issue is going to occur with this. Would it be best for me to spend the money and buy an AirPort extreme and disable the wireless feature on the 2wire? If so, how would I go about doing that? I work from home, and have been extremely frustrated with this issue for the past two weeks. Of note, I have had my MacBook and the 2wire for at least two years without any problems until recently, so I am also thinking this issue may be related to an update I installed recently?

i have an extreme and i want air tunes. what else has air tunes?
Short of buying an airport express for the sole purpose of air tunes, is there any other products that feature air tunes? ideally id love a wireless dongle that i can plug straight into a optical input on my receiver and use air tunes through.
I purchased an airport extreme assuming it included all the features of the express and the extra capabilities that come only with the extreme. silly me, as the extreme does not have air tunes and on top of the other features the extreme has I was looking forward to playing music wirelessly through my home audio from my macbook air.

MAC Cloning
I currently own a Linksys modem and I am thinking about an Airport Extreme. The Linksys has a mac cloning feature that allows me flexibility in handling mac addresses which makes things easier with my ISP. My question is does the Extreme have this feature? (Mac Cloning)

Will I have less wifi drops if I switch from an Express to an Extreme?
I have an Airport Express that I have used for years to connect to my mac computers. Currently I have an iMac with Lion. In the last couple of months, my Express starting dropping wifi frequently during the day...sometimes every five minutes, sometimes longer. Most frustrating. I read about the problem in Apple support and moved it away from my computer and digital phone...changed some other signal features and it improved considerably. But....it continues to drop wifi quite regularly..often several times a day. I wonder if switching to an Airport Extreme would solve the problem...or not.

airport extreme as a receiver from another airport extreme?
Instead of using multiple airport express devices as receivers (from airport extreme used as a router), can I use a second airport extreme as a the network receiver (or bridge) and connect multiple devices using ethernet connection? What I am intending to do is connect a blu ray player, AV receiver and a hard drive music server (by ethernet cable) to the second airport extreme and have them access the internet by communicating (wirelessly) with my first airport extreme (which is the router).
