Will AirPort Extreme take my dongle so I can use is wirelessly?
I have a dongle for my mobile internet, but as I have a MacBook Air it only has one USB port so it causes a few problems using the internet and trying the sync my iPhone. If I get the AirPort Extreme can I plug the dongle into that and then connect to the internet through that?
Any help would be great.

I have AT&T router and Bell South phone service. I have macs and PC's using it. Can I simple replace AT&T router with AirPort Extreme?
I have AT&T phone & internet service. I have used a Westell Versa link and am now using a 2Wire995 which is a nightmare. If I buy an Airport Extreme base station can I just replace the AT&T router and will my MacBook Pro 5,1 and the PC's with Window XP and the one with Windows 7 work? Is it more complicated than just plugging it in to the existing connection?

Accessing a USB hard drive across a bridged/extended network using two airport extremes.
Here is my wifi network setup: One airport extreme (newest model) in the house connected to the internet by DSL modem. This airport is the one our network is set up on. Out in our detached office is a second airport extreme that connects wirelessly to the network and extends it as a roaming network. My iPod bounces back and forth between the two airports perfectly as I walk between home and office. Eventually (and soon) I plan to buy a MacBook to replace an aging PC desktop for work.
My question: While using the MacBook in the house accessing the internet through the home Airport, will I be able to access a USB hard drive connected to the Airport in the office?
Sorry this is so wordy, but I want to make sure i get this right at each step. Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.

Should I get an AirPort Extreme, and will it interfere with a 2WIRE wireless router?
I am wondering too if it will support an internet connection to a Windows 7 upgraded (from Vista) PC and a Nintendo Wii console. On my existing wireless router, would I simply plug the AirPort into a normal ethernet port or the WAN port?

two wireless networks on one airport extreme
Hi there,
I have an Airport Extreme set up to offer a wireless network throughout my flat, using a couple Airport expresses to increase the range to my office and back garden. I also use one of the Airport Expresses to run AirTunes so that I can play my music in the garden from my Apple TV.
The problem is that the signal drops out if my computer is on and downloading emails or surfing the net.
Is it possible to set up two wireless networks on the Airport Extreme so that I use one solely for access the internet using my computer and devises and one for my AppleTV and Airtunes?
Sure, I can set up a Guest Network (or similar) but, I guess my question is - will having two WiFi's set up still have the same problem where the music cuts out (obviously, if the music is cutting out, my internet connection is being hampered too)?
If you can make sense of it and are able to offer me some advice, I'd be grateful!
Cheers,

I need 16 ethernet 1000 ports AND dualband wireless G/N. How to expand the AirPort Extreme Base Station to give 13 more ethernet for onlineLANparty?
We regularly host LAN parties, most of which are wired through a hub and are off-line. However, more and more games are requiring that each PC be connected to STEAM and/or LIVE so we are looking for a solution where we can have 16 wired computers running at the same time, PLUS we want to have the flexibility to connect to the same network via wireless G or N.
The AirPort Extreme Base Station appears to be the perfect choice for the wireless aspect, but it only has 3 ethernet 1000 ports. Most other options only have 4. Is there a way for us to expand the number of ethernet 1000 ports on the AirPort Extreme Base Station?
We will further use this to connect PCs on CAT5e cables throughout our home. We have a dedicated Windows XP PC hooked up to the TV for Netflix and music (work) stations in the kitchen and two bedrooms, so we want those to be wired into 4 of the 16 wired ports.
I would guess that I could just plug a hub into one of the ethernet ports, but I don't know if that would get all the HUBbed PCs onto the internet or not.- Asked by Ben B from Casper

I have a Mac Pro and a PC wired to our Router. Can these connect to the Airport Extreme for internet while our Macbook connects wirelessly?
Since we have a Windows PC and and Mac Pro with no wireless capability, I would need to connect them via ethernet for internet access. But my wife has a Mac Book with wireless. Can they all connect to the Airport Extreme for internet access at the same time? Can this be done with the Airport Express? Thank you.

will airport extreme extend the reach of another wireless router
i have a DLink wireless router hooked up to my Imac in my home. My mac book pro picks up a weak signal from my office next door. So do I have this right? The Airport Extreme will receive that signal and then boost it to enable my laptop and I pod touch to get a now stronger signal, possibly even further away? And then I can plug a printer and harddriive into the Extreme to be used by those connected at either location??? And then I can pick up XM Satellite radio channel from my Dish Network TV in my home?? If so, wow!

Which relatively cheap printers work with a USB connection to Airport Extreme, using it wirelessly from both a Mac (SnLeopd) and PC/Windows Vista/7?
I have a wireless router (Linksys) now, but am interested in replacing it with an Airport Extreme. Both for the N support, and for the USB connection to have a printer available wirelessly. And we have a mix of laptops, with a Mac running Snow Leopard and two PCs, one currently running Vista and the 2nd running Windows 7. What I gather from web searches is that it is hard to pre-determine printers that will actually work with as a USB printer with the Airport Extreme and various OS. Do you have recommendations for relatively cheap printers that you've found to work with the environment described?

Can I use a Windows XP system to configure airport extreme using a direct (not wifi) connection?
I cannot configure my airport extreme using my ibook because it is running OS X v4 (incompatible with the configuration software). Can I do the configuration with a Windows XP based computer using a direct connection of some sort -- I think the XP computer is compatible with the software but it is not set up for wireless.

Can a wireless USB modem be plugged into an airport extreme or express?
I have a NetComm router that allows me to plug my Telstra 3G wireless broadband modem into it to share my internet connection wirelessly throughout my home network. Can the Airport Extreme or Express do the same? I'm in the Military and live in barracks, so a hardwired internet connection isn't an option.

Can the AirPort Extreme get a DHCP address from another wireless router?
I have a hybrid network consisting of Mac OS X, Windows XP, Windows 7, and TiVo Series 2. I have Verizon FIOS, which comes with a Dlink router which hands out IPs wirelessly by DHCP. My current internal IP range is 192.168.0.x. I want to set up a wired network in one room of the house, but need it to plug in to a router. The problem is, I can't get a wire run between the Dlink and the local router. So, I want to see if the AirPort Extreme can get an IP address within the 192.168.0.x range from the Dlink through DHCP, and have all the devices which are plugged into it receive IPs through DHCP (either from the Dlink or the AirPort Extreme -- don't care which one does it). Does this device support that?
