Will the Airport Extreme help boost a Blackberry 8900 wifi signal as well as my iphone4 wifi signal? Our service is so weak we range from 1 to 3 bars.
I can get wifi through my airport express just fine and have it hooked into the ATT modem directly. However: my iPhone4 (ATT) and my partner's Blackberry 8900 (t-mobile) get very weak signals either on 3g or our wireless.
I looked at prices and options of home boosters like Wilson and Zboost but pricing and mounting is not what I need to get into. I'm in a large 4000sf home with no access to put up an external antenna nor will my HOA allow it.
I own a Mac Book Pro with snow leopard and he has windows 7.
Just can't get through a simple phone call without loosing the signal at least once during the call.
BTW.... ATT already checked out the cell tower and my technical side on the iPhone4.

will airport extreme extend the reach of another wireless router
i have a DLink wireless router hooked up to my Imac in my home. My mac book pro picks up a weak signal from my office next door. So do I have this right? The Airport Extreme will receive that signal and then boost it to enable my laptop and I pod touch to get a now stronger signal, possibly even further away? And then I can plug a printer and harddriive into the Extreme to be used by those connected at either location??? And then I can pick up XM Satellite radio channel from my Dish Network TV in my home?? If so, wow!

Is this better than the new BT Home Hub?
I have the new BT Home Hub - the one they advertise as having "our best ever wireless signal" and "detect and avoid wifi interference through our smart wifi technology". However, I already have an AirPort Extreme from a previous setup. Which is the better wifi base station?

Will I have less wifi drops if I switch from an Express to an Extreme?
I have an Airport Express that I have used for years to connect to my mac computers. Currently I have an iMac with Lion. In the last couple of months, my Express starting dropping wifi frequently during the day...sometimes every five minutes, sometimes longer. Most frustrating. I read about the problem in Apple support and moved it away from my computer and digital phone...changed some other signal features and it improved considerably. But....it continues to drop wifi quite regularly..often several times a day. I wonder if switching to an Airport Extreme would solve the problem...or not.

Bad wifi signal downstairs with Virgin Media Superhub
I have terrible wifi signal downstairs since being upgraded to a Virgin Media Superhub (the hub is upstairs).
Has anyone found the Airport Extreme improves signal around the house? I only live in a small 1920's 3 bed semi and the signal was fine downstairs before the Superhub. I am tired of running up the data bill on my iphone and ipad when i am at home already paying for broadband that i can't connect to!- Asked by Emma S

We live in the country, and have wireless internet. Would extreme or express act as a signal booster for my iphone 3g & macbook pro?
I previously had a zboost soho yx545 to boost my signal for cell & internet, but it was struck by lightning and is now no good. I need to replace it asap, as I work from home & need my cell phone & internet to work! I just read about the extreme & express and am wondering if they work as a signal booster?
