Should I get an AirPort Extreme, and will it interfere with a 2WIRE wireless router?
I am wondering too if it will support an internet connection to a Windows 7 upgraded (from Vista) PC and a Nintendo Wii console. On my existing wireless router, would I simply plug the AirPort into a normal ethernet port or the WAN port?

Can I connect and old time capsule to a new airport extreme?
I use the old time capsule for back up and to stream music wirelessly. However, the music cuts in and out at times and is solid at other times. I suspect it is getting interference from neighboring wifi networks because I live in a town house and there are at least a half dozen networks in range. Can I buy an airport extreme and take advantage of it's dual band to stream the music on the 5 ghz band and connect the old time capsule to it and still use it for back up? I don't think I need a 2 tb drive and the old time capsule still works fine. I still have one or two b/g devices so I can't just switch the old time capsule to N only.

Will this work with a wireless cable modem? If so, how, and what settings should I use?
I have a wireless modem that was given to me by Time Warner when I got my internet service from them. I know it will work with a cable modem, but I ask my question because my cable modem already has wireless capability. So, would this work or would it interfere with the existing wireless signal or would it not work?
Basically, I just want everything to connect to the airport express and to not connect directly to the cable modem. Is this possible, and if so, how and what do I need to know?- Asked by Kris L from Brooktondale

Can I turn off 802.11n and just use 802.11g on Airport Extreme?
My wireless ISP uses unlicensed 5GHz radios to distribute internet connectivity throughout our neighborhood. They say 802.11n routers using 5GHz frequencies interfere with their unlicensed radios and do not want them used. Can I turn off the 802.11n radio in Airport Extreme and just use the 802.11g radio as to not introduce interference?

I have to have my wireless router on a different floor from my printer and first computer. Can I use Airport Extreme to access printer from a laptop?
The main computer to which the printer is hard wired is on one floor of the house. The wireless router is on a different floor and has to stay there. I want to be able to bring home a laptop (a second computer) and print straight from the laptop on the printer. Can Airport Extreme allow me to do so?

Extending Roaming Network, Airport Extreme with APPLE TV
I have a Time Capsule on the third floor of my house in the office. I use this as the DHCP router. Wireless coverage is good on the top and middle floor, however when I get to the bottom floor the signal is weaker, slower and prone to drop outs.
The bottom floor is where I have my older second iMac, a MacBook Pro, and my home theater which has Apple TV. They all can get a weak wireless signal from the Time Capsule, but like I said it is slow and unreliable. I want to create a roaming network by adding an Airport Extreme to the bottom floor. I have heard that a solid connection from Time Capsule to Airport Extreme with Cat6 or Cat5e ethernet cable is the much preferred and more reliable way to do this.
I would need to run the Cat6 cable on the outside of the house, approximately 120 feet down from the office. There is already a Coax cable that makes that same run to provide cable TV to my bottom floor home theater. I would plan to set the Extreme in bridge mode to act as another Wireless Access Point.
Questions:
1. Is exterior grade Cat6 cable available to make this outside run?
2. Will the transmission be affected if the Cat6 runs close to the Coax cable?
3. The Apple TV device will be in close proximity to where I plan to place the Airport Extreme, should they be connected via ethernet port or connected wirelessly?
4. Would I need to set the Time Capsule and the Airport Extreme to different channels?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.- Asked by David H from Vancouver

Can I connect 2 Airport Extremes and a Time Capsule to cover three areas of our home?
We currently have one Airport Extreme working flawlessly in the lower level of our home. Service is inconsistent in some areas of the home. I have purchased a second Airport Extreme for the main floor and want to use the 1TB Time Capsule to back up the iTunes Music and Photos and use it as an additional access point. Because of the design our our home, we need additional wireless support for our i Phones and as soon as the iPads become available in Canada.
Can you describe how to set them up and avoid potential conflicts?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!- Asked by Daniel M S from Midhurst

I keep losing signal, even when sitting close to my base station. I think there is electrical interference. How can I be sure and what can I do?
Airport base keeps losing signal. I suspect electrical interference. I live in a restoration home with lots of old wiring and pipes in the walls. additionally, there are several other neighbor networks within range--but their signals drop as well.
What can I do to be certain of electrical interference and what can I do to combat it.
BTW...I can take the computer and Airport base station elswhere and it works fine.- Asked by Christopher D from Knoxville

I have an older AirPort Extreme that I would like to replace. My question is, what makes this better than say a Linksys E Series router?
I am looking to replace my AirPort extreme because it drops my connection at least 10 times a day. I have tried every channel on the device, factory reset it many times, and it just doesn't work. There are no other wireless networks nearby and we don't have any devices here that would interfere with it. What makes the new AirPort Extreme better than the Linksys E2000, E2100L or E3000? Thanks.
