I have a 2006 G4 Mac Minni with a Wireless Card, am I able to set up the AirPort Base Station?
Problem is have an older Mac before the intel chip (runs the G4 chip), I have it hooked up to a wireless router (linksys) that is a g model. If I purchase the AirPort Extreme Basestation, am I able to set it up with this computer and will it run more efficiently?
Also I will be purchasing a newer computer shortly, if I am able to set this up with my current computer will I be able to get a faster connection with the newer one?- Asked by Loren R from Alpharetta

Thinking of purchasing an Extreme base station. Purchasing in Japan, so I have a few questions.
My current router has issues with most of my more modern wireless devices.(It is quite old. D-LInk DI-634) I am looking into a MD031.
Despite only having Windows based machines, but two iOS devices, will the setup be that much more involved than if I were to have a Mac?
Since I am temporarily living in Japan, and will be purchasing it here, will the language be locked in Japanese only, is there a language option setting, or will the station detect the region and language automatically from my devices, and adjust as such?
If in the future that we return to the United States, will I be able to adjust the settings and channels for it to operate in the US? I imagine that looking at the channel overlaps in the tech specs portion between Japan and the US on the Airport Extreme webpage that I would have nothing to worry about, but I want to ask just to be sure.
Thank you.- Asked by Mario P from Shawnee

Is the AirPort Extreme Base Station compatible with Windstream?
I currently have Windstream as my internet carrier. I have a wireless box that is supposedly sending out wireless singles everywhere, but instead, my laptop is the only thing that can pick it up. If I buy this base station, would I just connect my current wireless network into it and be able to pick it up with my iPod and Wii?

How do I access the airport extreme base station settings from another PC on the network?
I want to be able to access the router from a computer other than the the one directly running the base station (so that I might disable the internet access from my room when son is up too late on the x-box downstairs!).

Are there other frequencies I may use on my Airport Base Station?
The wireless phone in the room often causes my airport to, or what appears to be, shut-down. Moving the laptop 24 inches and it's up an playing well with others. I recall having a similar issue a while ago, but I am unable to locate the notes I took.

can I use this product with ATT wiresless USB Mercury datalink?
We live where landlines are not practical for internet access. I have a ATT wireless USB Mercury datalink attached to my wife's Mac. I want to share the internet with my MAC G4 and My daughter would like to use hers when whe is at home. How does the system set up ? Does the datalink connect directly into the base station or does the internet come through my wifes computer and then is distributed to the shared computers. Does hers have to be on 10.5 and do all of the Macs sharing have to be on 10.5??? I have use airports before but have had some problems with the 'sharing' setup ... so I am a little unsure about this solution.

Can the airport extreme base station be used to wirelessly extend an existing network as an airport express can with no wires involved?
Basically my intent is to have an airport extreme to be used the exact same way as an airport express where you just plug it in and set it up to be an access point, no wires needed. Is it possible or is that only for the airport express
