What modem is recommended to hook up Airport extreme in UK?
I have a Belkin N1 Vision modem/router which seems to keep dropping connections and loosing access to the internet. I would like to replace this with an Airport Extreme but that leaves me also needing an ADSL modem to connect it to. Can anyone recommend a modem for use in the UK.

Can I connect my iMac to the AirPort Extreme for a wired connection and still use it to establish a wireless connection with a laptop PC?
I currently use a Linksys router. My laptop, which uses Vista 64-bit, works great. But my iMac 24" constantly loses connection if I connect it to one of the ethernet ports on the router. The same thing happens if I use try going wireless. The Genius Bar couldn't give me a reason why, nor could several techie friends of mine.
The only thing any of us could think of is that there is something in the router that doesn't mesh well with the iMac. As a result, I've connected the iMac directly to the external modem and put the router back in its box.
So would the AEBS permit a wired connection with the iMac while still allowing me to set up a secured wireless connection with my laptop?
Question number 2 is: will the AEBS work with Windows 7, if I were to upgrade my laptop PC from its current Vista 64-bit?- Asked by Michael F from Sammamish

Problems with Airport express and Linksys WRV200 router. If linksys is replaced with airport extreme, is it gonna be better?
I have an airport express and now after buying a bluray player, I need an ethernet connection besides the wireless. I had an old linksys router that I was able to set up and the set up the airport express in client mode to be able to use it for itunes streaming. The problem is that the linksys router drops my connection with the internet and even with my airport, so I'm considering buying an airport extreme and then connect the express to it for music streaming. I know this works, but is it reliable? I don't want to spend 200 bucks to find myself in the same situation I am right now...

Can you hook two AirPort Extreme stations together such that both offer a single guest network, and a single private network?
In a more commercial setting, this would mean setting the ethernet ports between routers to run traffic from both VLAN's so that the second router could route the traffic on the guest network. Otherwise, setting the second router to have a guest network could still grant access to the private network on the first router.

will airport extreme work with a fairpoint router?
My current ISP is Fairpoint (NH) with a high speed fiber optic connection. They provide an Actiontec wireless router. Unfortunately, the router does not support Mac wireless. I would like to add an Airport Extreme Base Station to an ethernet output on the Actiontec router. Will this give me fully Mac compatible wireless service? I also wonder which network name and password to use. A few months ago I tried to connect the AEBS to the Actiontec router, but the amber light never stopped blinking. At that point I gave up. I'm ready to try again.

does airport extreme work with an existing wireless network router
I have an old G4 bowling ball that needs a wireless access. I also have a Linksys wireless router that is working fine and I want to continue using. So can I use extreme as an access point (no direct modem connection) by just leaving the modem port open and plugging the G4 into one of the other ports?

will airport extreme extend the reach of another wireless router
i have a DLink wireless router hooked up to my Imac in my home. My mac book pro picks up a weak signal from my office next door. So do I have this right? The Airport Extreme will receive that signal and then boost it to enable my laptop and I pod touch to get a now stronger signal, possibly even further away? And then I can plug a printer and harddriive into the Extreme to be used by those connected at either location??? And then I can pick up XM Satellite radio channel from my Dish Network TV in my home?? If so, wow!
