two wireless networks on one airport extreme
Hi there,
I have an Airport Extreme set up to offer a wireless network throughout my flat, using a couple Airport expresses to increase the range to my office and back garden. I also use one of the Airport Expresses to run AirTunes so that I can play my music in the garden from my Apple TV.
The problem is that the signal drops out if my computer is on and downloading emails or surfing the net.
Is it possible to set up two wireless networks on the Airport Extreme so that I use one solely for access the internet using my computer and devises and one for my AppleTV and Airtunes?
Sure, I can set up a Guest Network (or similar) but, I guess my question is - will having two WiFi's set up still have the same problem where the music cuts out (obviously, if the music is cutting out, my internet connection is being hampered too)?
If you can make sense of it and are able to offer me some advice, I'd be grateful!
Cheers,

I have to have my wireless router on a different floor from my printer and first computer. Can I use Airport Extreme to access printer from a laptop?
The main computer to which the printer is hard wired is on one floor of the house. The wireless router is on a different floor and has to stay there. I want to be able to bring home a laptop (a second computer) and print straight from the laptop on the printer. Can Airport Extreme allow me to do so?

will airport extreme work with a windows network and existing belkin wireless router?
I have a windows pc, windows laptop, windows/ubunto netbook, old ibook (clamshell - not that i use it but would be nice to have the option), a lexmark x83 all in one printer (usb), canon pixma ip6310d printer, palm tx, ipod touch, WD my book external drive (usb) & and belkin wireless router.
I would like to be able to havea home wired/wireless network were all these devices can connect to. My main concern is sharing my 2 printers and external drive on the network with out direct connecting them to a pc.
This airport extreme seems like the key. I have not yet been able to find another print server that can support 2 usb printers and a usb hard drive,- Asked by Derek H from West Bloomfield

Does it also allow ethernet wired networking? It looks like it has three plugs...
I currently have an ancient Belkin router and an ancient Airport Extreme base station, connecting six macs and one ethernet-networked printer. The printer is not USB. It looks like this unit is both a wired and wireless router. Yes? I'd love to replace both the Belkin and the older Airport base station with something more reliable. Thanks, Z

Will replacing my AT&T 2wire unit with an airport extreme or adding one stop the annoying error messages
I hate the 2wire wireless gateway, if I add on an airport extreme will it over ride it so I don't get webpages of error messages if there is a broken link or signal that blocks links that didn't connect so I have to restart everything over and over again. I know it may be a connection issue but when the messages come up it won't refresh the links it keeps repeating the error page even though the link is viable.

Is there any specification for USB hubs to connect a printer and USB hard disk on the AIrport Extreme? I have a pretty cheap one now, dont work.
The USB printer or hard disk works well indivudually connected. Also, I cant print from windows PC wirelessly presently, does all the PCs that need to connect to the Airport Extreme to print wirelessly should have Airport Utility installed?

How to use AirPort Extreme with 2wire 2701
I have AT&T DSL with the 2wire 2701. Recently I began experiencing an intermittent signal on my MacBook that lasts several seconds and then reboots--this happens multiple times per hour. AT&T has sent out 4 technicians without solving this issue. After some online searching, I see that this is a common issue with Macs. They are bring a new 2 wire tonight, but I fear the same issue is going to occur with this. Would it be best for me to spend the money and buy an AirPort extreme and disable the wireless feature on the 2wire? If so, how would I go about doing that? I work from home, and have been extremely frustrated with this issue for the past two weeks. Of note, I have had my MacBook and the 2wire for at least two years without any problems until recently, so I am also thinking this issue may be related to an update I installed recently?

Which relatively cheap printers work with a USB connection to Airport Extreme, using it wirelessly from both a Mac (SnLeopd) and PC/Windows Vista/7?
I have a wireless router (Linksys) now, but am interested in replacing it with an Airport Extreme. Both for the N support, and for the USB connection to have a printer available wirelessly. And we have a mix of laptops, with a Mac running Snow Leopard and two PCs, one currently running Vista and the 2nd running Windows 7. What I gather from web searches is that it is hard to pre-determine printers that will actually work with as a USB printer with the Airport Extreme and various OS. Do you have recommendations for relatively cheap printers that you've found to work with the environment described?

Is HP Officejet 6310 compatible with airport extreme
I just got an iPhone 4S, an iPad2, and a MacAir this year. Can I use my existing HP OfficeJet 6310 printer with AirPort Extreme? Or do I need to get a printer that has wireless capability? IF so, which all in one printer (that scans, faxes AND prints) do you recommend for a MAC/PC home environment?

How can I connect my cable modem and printer into the AirPort Extreme when they are in two different rooms?
I currently have a NetGear router and would like to replace it with a AirPort Extreme. However, this isn't my request. I would like to finally be able to use my printer (that is has the capability of being wireless) from any room in the house. Can I do that with the AirPort Extreme? If yes, how?
