Does the Apple iPad 2 Dock work in portrait?

I am looking for a solution that will allow me to have a keyboard (preferably wireless, but a dock will do). I read some people saying they suggest getting the wireless Bluetooth keyboard and pair it with this dock. However, from what I can tell, it doesn't seem like is supports both portrait and landscape. Just curious if I'm wrong. Thanks!

Is this exactly the same as the previous "iPad 2 Dock"? Or are the dimensions slightly larger to fit the slightly larger iPad 3?

I need to know this because I have the older iPad 2 Dock, and nowhere on these forums does it say that the 3rd generation iPad will fill in it securely. Of course, the newer iPad dock will fit both 2nd and 3rd generations, but that may be because the newer iPad dock is different from the iPad 2 dock. Does anyone have a direct answer?

I've just purchased an ipad 2 and an ipad 2 dock. Is there any cover that you can buy for the ipad 2 that can stay on when the ipad 2 is in the dock?

Will iPad dock allow synching to iTunes on a laptop with low-power USB2 port?

I was disappointed to find that I am unable to use my new iPad 2 with my home computer (Dell Inspiron laptop) because the USB2 ports do not provide enough current, even when on AC adapter.

My iPad got stuck in Recovery Mode partway through the initial firmware installation, and after several calls to Apple Support it was eventually necessary for me to install iTunes on Mom's desktop computer to complete the restore.

Anyway, If I want to use the iPad 2 with iTunes on my own computer I will need some sort of AC-powered USB hub or adapter.

Will the Apple iPad 2 Dock work for this application, or is it also dependent on the source computer to provide power?

can you connect an ipod classic to ipad2

bought my daughter an ipad2 ro replace her macbook. She recently replaced her ipod classic with a new one as it is the large storage that she wanted. I know that she can transfer photos using the camera connection kit but can she wire connect/sync the ipod to the ipad?
