can I use this cable between iPod touch 64G and a TV that supports component and HD only ?
The iPod I have is: iPod Touch 64 G
The TV I have is Samsung 22inch that supports only component and HD cables. It does not support AV cables.
I need to know what kind of cables I can use between the iPod and the TV in order to get a videso signal on the TV.

How does it operate when used with a 4:3 TV or a 16:9 TV? Does it crop or letterbox for either? What are the limitations and expectations?
I am looking for the expectations of the performance when this cable is used with different TV aspect ratios. What is the native signal (4:3 because it is a composite signal or 16:9 because the iphone4 is that size?) Willl it be full screen on an old 4:3 (non-HD TV), or full screen on a 16:9 (HD TV). or both?

Or does Apple TV need to be connected to the TV via the HDMI port (plus an adapter to connect the HDMI cable to the Composite cable)?

Is the AV output an extension of the iPad screen (like how the HD-DVI is for the Macbook Pro), or does it just transfer the image to the television?
