how can i use icloud on 10.5.8

I have a imac 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 and I would like to use i cloud with this machine and my new mac book and iphone 4s. How can I do it?

I am running 10.5.8 on a MACBOOK AIR and want to erase everything and upgrade to 10.6.

Can I do this successfully using an iMac on my network to run the DVD, as the Air does not have an optical drive.
Early model Air; 1.6 GHz Intel Core Duo; 2 GB 687 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't have the Mac OS X Leopard. But I am considering on upgrading my Mac to the Snow Leopard.

I have a Mac Book 10.5.8 and a 2 GHz Intel Core Duo. Will I be able to update to Lion after I update to Leopard?

I have a new iPhone 4 and noticed that my iCloud is not sending my photos to my computer. Since then I have found that I need to update to Lion but I am not sure my Mac Book will support Lion since I have a Intel Core Duo not an Intel Core 2 Duo.

Will executing a clean install of Snow leopard remove my ipod touch updates?  After all I will now be running a new OS.

I have an iMac with 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and 1 GB memory, V 10.5.8. Enough room for both Snow Leopard and Lion upgrades?

I want to access iCloud for intergration with my new iPhone and iPad but don't want to waste $ buying Snow Leopard and Lion if there's not enough memory or space on my desktop to accommodate.
