my dvd drive is inop do I have any other options to load this software

my dvd is not reading disk and would like to upgrade to snow leopard. do I have any other options besides replacing my dvd superdrive?

I haven't upgraded since OS 10.4.11. I have a 2.3 GHz PowerPC G5. I need to upgrade all my software and need to know what the best OS option is.

My mac is 3 years old and until recently has been running fine. Finding that I need to upgrade my Adobe software and have added new peripherals: desktop printer, scanner, external hard drive, card reader..., with lots of problems following. Thought if I updated OS then software I might resolve many of the problems I'm seeing.

reinstall or just upgrade

Can I wipe the drive and reinstall with this disk or is it upgrade only? I have an option I buying a computer with tiger and I have the spare parts to upgrade the ram but its got limewire and loads more suspicious looking programs on it that I do not trust so I want to wipe the entire drive and start fresh.

Can I install the the iMac OS X install DVD in my MacBook Pro, or I must use the MacBook Pro installer DVD?

I do have one intel MacBook Pro with the OS 10.4.11 yet. As I was told, I must updade my software to OS 10.5 leopard before install the 10.6 Snow Leopard.
My brother just bought a iMac and it comes with the Mac OS 10.5.6 DVD installer. Can use this iMac DVD on my MacBook Pro?

Installing Leopard without a Disc Drive

I'd like to upgrade to Snow Leopard from 10.5.8 (old I know), but the disc drive in my laptop went kaput a long time ago. What are my options for installing Snow Leopard without a functional disc drive?

i have intel based mac and i formatted the hard drive to ntfs i dont have the osx dvd do i need to buy full version of 10.6 or upgrade version

intel based mac running win 7 and i want to go back to snow leopard i dont have the instllation dvd any more do i need the full dvd instllation or the upgrade

I can purchase Snow Leopard from Apple, but can I install the OS by using a second MacBook's DVD drive using a firewire?
