Mac OS X 10.4.11 Upgrading?!
Hi all
My macbook works from a 2.16 GHz Inter Core 2 Duo processor, and I'd like to upgrade to a newer OS as lots of updates don't seem to work as the the system is really old!!
I've read I should buy the full disc set to upgrade to Snow Leopard but I can't seem to find that anywhere? Also, if I upgrade to Snow Leopard can I then upgrade straightaway to Lion via App store?
Your advice is greatly appreciated.

I have a macbook pro and I just replaced a dead hard drive. I have no original discs, can I still buy Snow Leopard and perform a fresh install?
This was a gift and I lost all discs and documentation when I moved. The hard drive died a couple of days ago and had to replace it. Can I perform a fresh install with the $39 Snow Leopard?

Do I have to update iPhoto with an upgrade to Snow Leopard or can I leave it as version 9.2.1 safely ?
I have an iPhoto Library of over 70,000 images and there have been a couple of times where some weird stuff has happened and I lost photos. I want to take advantage of a system update but have not updated iPhoto since 9.2.1 for fear of the whole thing crashing.

Can I use my MacBook Pro system disc (Snow leopard) that came with my computer to upgrade my Macbook 13 inch (early 2008) to OSX 10.6 ?
I have Macbook 13 inch (early 2008) running 10.5.8 and want to upgrade the operating system to the 10.6 version that came with my MacBook Pro. I purchased the OSX Lion USB so that I could install the new OS on my MacBook Pro and my Macbook. I have been successful with my Macbook Pro but when I try and use the Snow Leopard install disc that came with my MacBook Pro it tells me I can't use the disc on the MacBook.

I have just installed windows 7 on my imac through boot camp.
The problem is that I have lost my mac os disc that came with the imac.
It seems I can't install boot camp utility on windows without it. So now
I don't have any sound when on windows neither can I update the drivers.
Will this mac os x snow leopard do the job??

Is it possible to connect an iMac running OS X 10.3.9/System 9.2 to an intel Mac Mini via firewire, to act as a server?
There's a piece of System 9 software I'd like to run and I know it's impossible for the intel Mini Mac to run it. Would using the iMac as a server in an ad-hoc network succeed as a work-around? If so, how would I make it work?

Is the Snow Leopard installation disc 10.6.3 or 10.6.8?
I recently bought a Mac OS X Snow Leopard installation disc and they say that it runs 10.6.3. My computer runs Mac OS X 10.6.8. If I used this disc on the computer, will it affect the operating systems negatively at all? Or will it work with no problems?
