do i have to wipe my mac?

when i get the cd in the mail and i load it into my computer will it erase all my sutff? will i need to save it to a flash drive?

I am running a windows vista instance with bootcamp on a partition that was made by boot camp.. will upgrading to 10.6 wipe my windows partition?

Also will the data on the apple partition be preserved or erased when I upgrade to 10.6.

reinstall or just upgrade

Can I wipe the drive and reinstall with this disk or is it upgrade only? I have an option I buying a computer with tiger and I have the spare parts to upgrade the ram but its got limewire and loads more suspicious looking programs on it that I do not trust so I want to wipe the entire drive and start fresh.
