d I need 2GB before I can install Lion?

I want to install snow leopard to get more photo space. If I need 6-8 GB, where do find if I have enough memory and storage to install it

Can I upgrade to Lion with my computer specs below?  Can I increase my processor MHZ for more speed? Or would an increase of 2GB more memory do that?

What version does the Snow Leopard install disk install?  What is the easiest way to install 10.6.8 on a new Macintosh?  (I need Rosetta)

I may soon buy a new MacBook Pro, but they are shipping with Lion and I need Rosetta. I can buy a Snow Leopard install disk, but what version does it install? I heard it was 10.6.5. It will be a nuisance, taking extra time and several reboots, to update from 10.6.5 to 10.6.8, which I may have to do several times over the lifetime of the computer.

Can I use this version of Snow Leopard to downgrade from OS X Lion?

I bought a refurbished 2008 Macbook that came pre-installed with OS X Lion. My old Mac Mini (just sold it) ran Snow Leopard (10.6). Now, some of my apps (PowerPC) and other functions are gone and I desperately need them back.

Can I use this disc to "erase & install" Snow Leopard without a previous version of Mac OS X? Thanks.

Am I able to install Lion directly onto Tiger iMac or do I need to go Snow Leopard first? I don't want to waste money on software I won't use

Will executing a clean install of Snow leopard remove my ipod touch updates?  After all I will now be running a new OS.
