Hard drive crashed on my 08 MacBook Pro that ran Leopard. can I install 10.6 on the new bare hard drive without issues? Any advice at all? Thanks!

I have a macbook pro and I just replaced a dead hard drive. I have no original discs, can I still buy Snow Leopard and perform a fresh install?

This was a gift and I lost all discs and documentation when I moved. The hard drive died a couple of days ago and had to replace it. Can I perform a fresh install with the $39 Snow Leopard?

I have a macbook, 2 GHz intel core 2 duo running 10.4.11, how can I find out what kind of formating Hard Drive do I have? (Mac OS extended or GUID?)

It was purchased in November 2006 as new and I would like to upgrade to Snow Leopard 10.6

My intel macbk is running Tiger10.4.11. If I install the Mac Box Set10.6, will it erase my whole hard drive and will I have to reinstall my programs?

I'm use to PC. thanks.

Will upgrading to Snow Leopard erase my hard drive?

When I upgraded my iBook G4 from Tiger to Leopard, it erased my hard drive, taking all my applications, documents, and music with it.
Will upgrading to Snow Leopard do the same thing?

Can I install10.6 to a clean drive...

Im running 10.5 on my main drive on a Mac Pro. I dont want to changeanything.

However, I need 10.6 to run Bootcamp and 3DS Max. Id like to set this up on a fresh disk and not change my primary disk. Is the 'update disk' able to do this....

i have intel based mac and i formatted the hard drive to ntfs i dont have the osx dvd do i need to buy full version of 10.6 or upgrade version

intel based mac running win 7 and i want to go back to snow leopard i dont have the instllation dvd any more do i need the full dvd instllation or the upgrade

Installing Leopard without a Disc Drive

I'd like to upgrade to Snow Leopard from 10.5.8 (old I know), but the disc drive in my laptop went kaput a long time ago. What are my options for installing Snow Leopard without a functional disc drive?
