is my ipod nano compatible without a docking station?

Iwant to use the remote for my iPod but not with the docking station... does it work?? I have the Ipod Nano that camne out befroe the new one. Thanks!!

Can I use the remote with my iPhone docked in other docks, like in the Bose radio or the XM Skydock?

After reading the description in the Apple Store, I was just wondering if the remote could control my iPhone when it is docked in my Bose radio or even in my XM Skydock. It would make using the iPhone from across the room a whole lot easier.

So it has to be the universal dock, any kind of iHome won't work?

It specificaly has to be the universal dock even if my iHome has an IF reciever? And why doesn't Apple have a remote that can control the iTouch without having to use any kind of docking?

Is there a remote for the iPhone 4s, iPad2, and Mac that controls the camera for taking pictures?

I used to own a digital camera that came with a remote control to be able to take pictures of yourself or you with a group of people without having to depend on a quick timer. I was really hoping to find one like that for the iPad2 camera and even the iPhone 4s. I would like to be able to setup my iPad or iPhone in the room, then find the right position to stand and the right pose, and then be able to push a button on the remote to actually take the picture. Does Apple have any kind of remote that will do this?
