I know there have been other questions about the 27" Apple LED Cinema display working with PCs, but does it work with the Radeon HD 5770?
Others have mentioned more powerful cards such as the Radeon HD 5970, but this monitor's max resolution is at that of the Radeon HD 5770. I am going to buy a Macbook Pro with the i7 and *possibly* this monitor, if it works with my PC. I have a Intel based board with a Radeon HD 5770. I know older mac pros had these, so it works with the card in general, but does it work in a PC under Linux? I was looking at a display port male (the one on my 5770) to mini displayport female (I know the display has a mini male DP connector).

Does anyone own both this and the brand-new 27" iMac?
Please, does anyone actually own both the brand new 27" iMac (ie, as of Sept 2010) and this brand-new 27" monitor (ie, as of Sept 2010)?
If anyone does actually own both ...... it would be great to know if the two work well together: ie, do the displays actually align, and is the resolution actually identical?? Thank you in advance.- Asked by John-paul M

Is there audio support for old MacBook Pros?
I have both an older MacBook Pro 13" and an old Mac Pro which both have the Mini Display port connector, but were prior to the connection carrying audio. The 24" monitor offered USB audio, but it looks like this model has no audio support for those Macs. Is that correct?

How does the USB come into effect
I see how the Magsafe and MiniDisplay works, but the USP doesn't seem to make sense. If you connect to any computer all you need is the Mini DisplayPort connecter. Why the USB?
