Is there any convenient way to connect the new (Sept 2010) Apple TV to the Apple 27-inch LED Cinema Display as well as to a MacBook Pro?
One could unplug and switch input sources to send a signal to the display, but that is a clumsy solution. What is the most elegant way to accomplish this?

Why is this so expensive if it's just a display?
I'm just wondering, does this have any other uses? i.e can I use it as a TV?
This is NOT a stupid question - think about it - it is a THOUSAND dollars, and it's just a display, a big shiny tv. Without ANY other purpose. You can get 50" plasma/LED Smart tvs for that amount of money!
Can this be used for anything else? I'm NOT buying it if it's just a screen.- Asked by Joanne M

Does the Apple LED Cinema Display work with the current model MacBook Pro with the Retina display?
I have the current model of the MacBook Pro and would like to know the level of compatibility with the LED Cinema Display as it was released prior to the release of the new MacBook Pro. For example the mag safe connection and HDMI if there is one.

Does anyone own both this and the brand-new 27" iMac?
Please, does anyone actually own both the brand new 27" iMac (ie, as of Sept 2010) and this brand-new 27" monitor (ie, as of Sept 2010)?
If anyone does actually own both ...... it would be great to know if the two work well together: ie, do the displays actually align, and is the resolution actually identical?? Thank you in advance.- Asked by John-paul M

Does the new 27" display have an ON/OFF button? I need a 2 monitor configuration but not all the time.
I use Aperture 3 & Final Cut Express. Would love to add this monitor to my existing 24" LED Display. But I do want the option of turning 1 display off when not working with the said software.

Apple new LED 27 inch cinema dispolay. Can it be connected to any (non apple) PC.
Can you hook up using the apple converting plug( accessory - ending in a DVI connector) to a standard PC like a new Dell XPS 9100. If you can is the performance similar to having it connected to an Apple product. Further can the camera and the usb accessory connectors on the display also be utilized wuith a standard Windows t 64 bit pc (NOT via bootcamp)

With the magsafe and the mini-display being on opposite side on the MacAir, how does the combined usb/mini-display/magsafe cable works ?
The picture presented of the new display are not very clear. It looks like there would not be enough 'free' cable to connect both the magsafe andthe mini-display on a MacAir
