How long is the cable and am I tied to using the one that comes supplied?
I want to have the monitor on my desk buy the laptop will be housed in a unit to the side. The cable-run will be about 3-4m. For USB, I guess I can use an active extension cable but not sure if this is possible for the display port.

The cables that are included, are they sold separately?
I am ready to dump my PC, so I will be purchasing a MBP in the near future. I work with duel monitors, but this monitor is too expensive and is wont fit on my desk. So, I will be buying an off brand (HP) monitor, but the cable that comes with the hp monitor, wont work (whats new??). If it is not sold separately, then what is the best method to have a dual monitor system?

With the magsafe and the mini-display being on opposite side on the MacAir, how does the combined usb/mini-display/magsafe cable works ?
The picture presented of the new display are not very clear. It looks like there would not be enough 'free' cable to connect both the magsafe andthe mini-display on a MacAir

How does the USB come into effect
I see how the Magsafe and MiniDisplay works, but the USP doesn't seem to make sense. If you connect to any computer all you need is the Mini DisplayPort connecter. Why the USB?

suitable monitor arm?
Folks I have both a 24" and 27" screen for various macs, and also face the issue of getting this monitor to work at the same height as my iMac, the obvious solution is a monitor arm, but though Apple produce a VESA adapter, I'm struggling to find an appropriate arm that can take the weight of these screens, any ideas? preferably a supplier in the UK?
