Can Logic Pro 9 record inputs from multiple interfaces?

For example, Can i use two Tascam US-1641 interfaces simultaniously and have 16 channels of microphone in?

Or can Logic only recognize one at a time?

7 to 9: Upgrade Installation on a new MacBook Pro?

What do I need to install on the new MacBook Pro before I can run the Logic 9 Upgrade?
Is the dongle with 7 serials enough to run a fresh Logic 9 installation on a fresh MacBook?

i use Mbox2 as my interface, but found all DAWs worked sluggishly. Finally got Mbox working with PT8 + Logic 8. How can I improve performance

I was formally using Logic 8 with Tiger on a Macbook with Mbox2. Switched to an iMac with Snow - and couldn't get it working until recently now that I upgraded to Pro Tools 8.
I have 2 GB of RAM. Trying to run my hobby studio cost effectively. Will upgrading to Logic 9 help?

What basic set-up will I need to buy to record live music for Logic 9?

I'm not that computer savvy and most of these questions sound like martian to me! I just want to know what I will need to buy to use Logic Pro 9 so I can figure that into my budget. I play guitar, sing and my husband plays fiddle. How does the live recording get recorded into the computer, via what? Do I need an extra separate recording system first? I have a new Imac. Please help!

Do I need to install my previous logic 7, and 8 to install Logic Studio 9 upgrade on a new main hard drive?

Will all the sound files and loops install completely and properly.

How does Logic 7 compare to Logic 9?

I am a current user of Logic 7. I had originally purchased this program for the purposes of film scoring. Prior to having a mac book pro, I used Sonar in Windows. I've had alot of issues with Logic 7 in terms of recording my own material. It randomly deletes lso files~ different tracks are randomly at different volumes... i could go on and on- the biggest drag though is, when I do have a problem, 7 is outdated, and it's difficult to resolve issues. The biggest issue has been saving projects, lso's etc. to an external hard drive- if I move it or save it- it erases the aiff and i have to manually search for it... if it's there at all!!! If anyone has any input I would be very grateful. Christine Hagan

I have logic 7, but I recently snapped my dongle. Can i still upgrade to logic 9? Do i just need my dongle's serial? I still have my logic 7 box etc
