What battery should i get for "Model No: A1286"?

This is a 15-inch MacBook Pro.

I have a feeling that "Model No: A1278" is the 13-inch version of mine and in that case I need to see an Apple Retailer.

i'm trying to see if i can upgrade my a1278 macbook pro's 7 hr battery to one of newer batteries that last 10 hrs. is that possible?

Would a 15" macbook pro battery fit into a Macbook 13.3" aluminium?

Just bought a macbook unibody off eBay and they battery will last for around 3 hours, I want to get a macbook pro battery as im' told they last for around 7? Just wandering if it would fit? Thanks

do the 17in and 15 in take the same battery?

I have a 17inch macbook pro 2.66GHz intel core 2 duo. need to replace the battery but the model number is showing up for 15in. can it be they are the same? just wondering. dont wanna go off and pay $129 for something that wont work. Thanks in advance!

Is there an external battery that works with the Macbook Pro 13"?

I bought and just received my new Macbook Pro 13". When I bought it online, I also bought the external battery "assuming" it would work with this unit. I now realise, I think, what I bought will not work. (I have not yet received the battery, but the unit clearly is not made for a simple replacement. Is there an external battery that works with the Macbook Pro 13" I am now the proud owner of? Thanks in advance. JR
