Will the Adapter Make the Laptop Screen go Blank?

I want the screen image to display on the screen of my Early 2011 MacBook Pro, as well as on whatever I plug into the adapter. Will it do this?

Will this adapter work connecting the first generation iPad with a MacBook pro?

I am in the process of looking to buy a new laptop. I have the iPad, not the iPad 2. I am hoping there is some sort of adapter that I can buy to connect the iPad to my MacBook pro? Thus it would serve as a "link" between the 2 so I could switch screens and drag items from one screen to the other?

For Mac air how do you connect to second screen

Use the air for my only computer but need bigger screen for office spreadsheet work. I have the 13 inch screen on the air. I have an existing monitor and would like to connect to the air while in the office and use booth screens at the same time. How do you make that happen?

Does apple make an adapter that goes from Mini DP to HDMI and does the Mini DP carry sound or only video?

I have a MacBook Pro running OS 10.6.2 (Snow Leopard) and would like to use my Samsung LCD Series 5 TV as a display to show Powerpoints and play games. I also want the 1-cable solution so that I don't have to run 3.5mm cable to my TV for the sound. Since HDMI caries sound signals, I would like to know the answer to my question.

can I combine the mini display-to-DVI adapter with my Apple DVI-to-ADC Adapter so that I can use my old apple cinema display with my new macbook pro?

Can I use this device to run dual (Side-by-Side) monitors from an iMac?

If I use this adapter and an additional VGA monitor, can I set up the secondary monitor to serve as an extension of my desktop or will it only duplicate what appears on the primary screen?

How many monitors can I use on a 2011 27" iMac with dual Thunderbolt ports?

Can I use one of these Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapters on each of the iMac's Thunderbolt ports? I have my old iMac directly driving a second monitor and a couple extra screens over Ethernet but a direct connection sounds better.
