can I use my new 27-inch iMac as a display for my May 2007 MacBook? (mini DVI tp Mini DisplayPort)

I bought a Mini DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort cable, then found that the port on my laptop doesn't fit. Is there an adapter or another cable that would let me do this?

I bought the 2.66 GHz 15 inch MacBook Pro. In addition to the DVI to HDMI cable, would I be able to output the video to my HDTV?

Understand this adapter is designed for outputting video to external monitor. Hope it is bi-directional for video input as well.

What exactly do I need to connect the mini display port on my Macbook Pro to my monitor that has a DVD-D port?Can I use the mini displayport DVI-I adapter I already have or do I need another kind of adaptor? What kind of cable exactly? Thanks

How do you connect a 22" cinema display (through an ADC converter) to a 17" iMac?

I have one of the original 22" cinema displays that is in astoundingly good condition. It had been driven by a G5 Quad through an ADC converter. Now I want to use with with a new 27" iMac. However, the mini display port converter has the wrong type of DVI connector. Has anyone done this or know how to make it work?

Can I use a Mini Display port to dual DVI Adapter or only to single DVI Adapter?

Should I use the Mini Display Port to single DVI Adapter or to dual DVI Adapter when I hook up my NEC 2690 MultiSync 26in monitor to my new MacBookPro 17in? I know the dual will give me a higher resolution for working with my photos, but didn't know if I can use it? I'm running OS 10.6.3.
