Can I use the Nike+ Running app with the Nike+ shoe sensor or does it only work with my phone's accelerometer? I'd prefer to use the Running app.
I have an iPhone 4s and just bought a new pair of Nike Structures'. I also bought the Nike + iPod Sensor. However, I intend to do running workouts almost exclusively. Is there a way to tie the Nike+ Sensor to the Nike+ Running app instead of having it report to the Nike + iPod app?

I am going oversees and I don't have GPS on my iPhone 4s. Can I use the Nike+ Sensor on my shoe to track my running?
I track my runs using the Nike+ Running app on my iPhone 4s. I am going oversees and I don't have GPS on my iPhone (the data is just to expensive so I don't use data on my phone). I was wondering if the Nike+ stand alone foot sensor kit will be able to track my runs via my Nike+ iPod app without my phone's GPS.

will this work when my i-phone 3GS is locked, or do I need to leave the i-phone unlocked and the app running on screen?
I have tried several pedometers on my i-phone and although some do work relatively well, I need to leave the phone unlocked in my pocket in order for it to record the data. If I purchase the Nike + sensor and attach it to my shoe, will the i-phone record the movements even when locked and playing music?

Can I use the Sensor alone and sync after a run with the Running app?
I am considering getting the Nike + iPod Sensor and have been running a few times a week using the Nike + Running app for a while now.
What I don't like is running with my iPhone 4S in my pocket (worried it might fall out), so am wondering whether I could leave the iPhone at home and the Sensor is enough to collect data from the run? Then I can sync up after the run to analyse pace etc.
Not sure if this is possible based on other comments/reviews online - the guy at the Apple store wasn't entirely sure either.
I'd then buy an iPod shuffle for £40 with just my running playlists on and feel much more at ease!

Is it worth buying a sensor for iPod Touch?
I have the most recent iPod and I've begun using Nike+ to track my runs. However, because my iPod doesn't have GPS, it relies on the accelerometer to track my distance and it is usually wrong. I was wondering if it was worth buying the sensor to make it more accurate or if I should just continue using the accelerometer and callibrating my distance (which I don't always know).

Does this Nike Sensor work with iPad or iMac?
I have been using an ActiHealth pedometer from A&D Medical that wirelessly gives data to my iMac. Since I suspect that this subscription is nearing renewal, I am hoping that I can use your Nike sensor with my iPad or iMac. (I do not have an iPod or iPhone.)

If the latest Nano already has an accelerometer (pedometer feature), then what extra benefit does this Nike sensor provide? Heart rate??
Nike sensor seems to be redundant with Nano pedometer feature.
