on my samsung lct tv the port is labelled hdmi/dvi will this connector work? if not what will?

Can i use my 27 inch imac with the mini-dvi connector (it does not have the new mini display adapter) as an external monitor for my new mac pro ?

Will the new mac pro ( 8 core ) drive the 27 inch imac display if i connect via the DVi port. I realize i will need a Mini DVI to DVi converter cable. Also, Will the 27 inch 2008 imac work in display target mode or does this only work with the new i macs that have the mini display ports?

does the mini dvi hook up to iMac Intel core duo?

I have a 21.5in. iMac Intel core duo OSX10.6.4 and wish to connect to a Samsung TV. Will the mini DVI to DVI connect with the iMac? I have a DVI to DVI adapter that connects with my G4 iBook but the connection seems different!
