My friend has the black 2007 or 2008 macbook, I'm not sure. However he has a VGA adapter but it wont fit in my 2009 Macbook pro. Will this connect to my laptop, or only the older ones?

How do I connect a white macmook mid 2009 to a TV via a composite cable?
I know that the mini DVI to video adapter doesn't work for this modele of macbook. Can I use a miniDVI to VGA and the get an adapter VGA to tV video as this one?
