I am a newbie to the mac world and have just ordered an imac 21.5 in . I have a Sharp HDTV with open HDMI input port that I want to use to display streamed Netflix movies. I have a DVI cable that I use on my old computer to dual display the monitor on the HDTV, but would rather use HDMI if I can.

what cable do i need to connect a aluminum macbook 13in to an hdtv?
Their are so many different adaptors, i just dont know which one is the right cord? i would love to use hdmi, but if not then what ever gives the best resolution.

What cable do i need to connect an Imac core 2 duo to a hdmi projector
Is vga the same as hdmi?! I have no idea so I don't understand wether I'm meant to get a DVI - VGA adapter or one (that doesn't seem to be available) to hdmi?! Also because my Imac is a core 2 duo not a core duo I've been led to believe I can't get one to work with mine at all...?!
Really need some help with this as I'm sick of ordering the wrong cables and having to wait 15 days for a refund... :/- Asked by Marlon M
