if you turn off the alarm clock will it stop the ipod if reading an audio book and start again at the same place?

I want to use an I pod to download audio books for my father but he cannot work an I pod so nee to plug it into a speaker system with a one button control that will turn off the book on the I pod and start again at the same location when he wants to hear more. Any suggestions??

Can you dim the "iPad display" while it's docked/charging at night? Yes; understood, the iHome display dims - my concern is with iPad display.Thx.

Can this be adapted to be compatible with iPod Nano 7th Gen? Why is it so hard to find 7th Gen accessories?

I'm looking for a dock/charging station w/ AC adapter so I can listen to tunes without the earbuds, can't find anything compatible with iPod Nano 7th Gen. The iHome Dual-Alarm Stereo Clock Radio for iO S Devices seems to be what I'm looking for.
