What Does it mean when only headphone work for my Beats?

I have a pair of bubblegum beats on -ear solo HD and both earbuds work loud and clear on my computer but when I plug it in on my iPod Touch 4th gen, only one earbud works. But a few nights ago, thet both worked. But now only one is working. I have the warenty and this is the second pair i got beacuse this happened to the other pair but i just realized that they work fine on the computer... PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got these this christmas and my brother got the same pair just in black and red a few years ago and his work fine on his iPod Touch 4th gen.

Is the wire that connects the phone to the headphones always black and red?

I am going to buy the Beats Solo HD On-Ear Headphones in the light blue and white, but the picture of the cord that will connect my phone to the headphones is black and red. I think this will pretty much clash with the blue and white headphone color. Even though I purchase the light blue and white headphones, will the cord that comes with it still be black and red?

Can it be compatible with android devices also?Is there a promotional price for students?

I have an iPod 4th generation and i knew that the headphone jack of android devices are the same with the iPod. So, I wanna ask if this brand new beats solo hd headphone is also compatible with android devices or not.

I also want to know if this new headphone has a promotional price for students or not.

Does this come with a cable jack without the mic?

For some reason my laptop will leak sound through headphones/earphones and the speakers at the same time if the cable have mic on.
