Can I boot from this and run Mac os X (10.6.8) and TechTool Pro on it to fix my desktop hard drive?

I've followed internet directions on how to install Mac OS X (10.6.8) on the hard drive and then used Carbon Copy Cloner (version 3.4.7) to make bootable backup. When I restart with the option key I do see the partition listed as a bootable drive but when I choose it it goes to the Grey apple screen with the "whirly-timer" and gets stuck in this. Any ideas?

Can I boot windows 7 from this disk using bootcamp?

I need windows 7 for school but I'd prefer if the internal harddrive of my macbook pro remains mac-only. can I partition this disk using bootcamp and then install windows 7 on it? also I will want to play games in windows will that be a problem if installed on this disk?

Can this hard work at any laptop

It's just for mac that's said on the box but maybe there is something to make it work at another kind of comp

Can I daisy-chain the Firewire 800 ports on this drive?

I use an adapter cable to connect the firewire 400 on my Apple Cinema's dongle to the Firewire 800 port on my Mac Mini (2 GHz Intel Core i7). I need Firewire 400 for my external iSight Camera.
