Do you need data (or wifi) for the HRM or does it transmit through bluetooth?
and will the HRM machine memorize the running route until I get home and sinc with wifi as I have no data. How much memory does it have if any?

Will it work with the phone in a backpack?
I'd like to use this for mountain biking, but I keep my phone in my backpack while riding. Will it have any issues staying connected? I've heard of Bluetooth HR straps from other companies having this problem.
