Will this device work with Mountainbike Pro?

I have been using Mountanbike Pro and the heartrate monitor they make has been out of stock for awhile. Plus I would like to use a monitor that doesn't us a dongle. Can anyone help or suggest a monitor that will work with my app?

Will this work with the iPhone 5?

I see it runs on Bluetooth 4.0, and only works on the 4S (not the 4) for this reason. Given the iPhone 5 also has BT4.0, am I right to assume the Wahoo HR strap will also work with the iPhone 5?

Will it work with the phone in a backpack?

I'd like to use this for mountain biking, but I keep my phone in my backpack while riding. Will it have any issues staying connected? I've heard of Bluetooth HR straps from other companies having this problem.
