Can it play songs randomly from a playlist as a alarm?

Does the display show the time when the radio is playing?

I am looking for an Alarm Clock Radio that displays the radio station and time at the same time. I want to use it with my 3Gs. My current clock that docks my 3Gs only displays the station id when the radio is on and the time when the radio is off. The same is true when using my iPhone for the music source. I do not want to shut off my music to see the time.

If the power goes out overnight, but the iPhone has been charged already, will the alarms still go off on the phone itself?

If the alarms are set through the docking radio rather than the phone, I'd be worried that if the power went out in the night, the alarms wouldn't go off in the morning and I'd end up being late for work.

Is there a sleep function, where you can set a time length for a device to play (e.g. 60 minutes) and then it turns off?
