Does the audio go to the iPad's speaker, or do you have to use headphones?

Is there a risk of damaging my built in sound card or my speakers on my macbook pro when I use this product?

I know to use the gain control to prevent the red lights from showing up. Are there any other things I should be aware of? Should I use headphones only?

In short: I just want to make sure that this input device doesn't provide such a strong signal that it will burnout the sound card.

Can you use this to go: guitar> iPad> garage band> house sound? In other words, will it allow you to let you use GB essentially as a pod?

How does it compare to M-Audio's JamPack device?

I had bought the JamPack a while ago. It can connect to the Garage Band on my new iMac and do a decent job. Is this device superior in any way to that old one?

Do you need a mac and ipad together? My dad only has an ipad, could he use this?

How do you power the iPad if you are using the Apogee JAM?

What is the work-around, since both the power connector and Apogee JAM require the iPad Dock Port?

will this interface work for my el keyboard (yamaha cp5)...or would the signal be to hot for appogee interface...

talking about garage and on my ipad3 ...and my el keyboard...can i record directly into the ipad...
