Is the red watchband the same color as the red iPod nano?

I have a red iPod nano, and I'm hoping the red watchband will match the color.

Does the color of the nano show through on the watchband? The examples both seem to be grey nanos or is that the strap casing.

I like the look of the black strap and gray silver casing but would also like the more vibrant color nanos when not wearing it as a watch. Do all colors look gray when worn with the band?
