Can you program the Ipod Nano so that machines equipped with Nike+ Ipod will adjust resistance to reach your target heart rate with Polar transmitter?

I would like to see a list of what you can do with a Polar Nike+ heart rate monitor and Ipod.

Does iPod nano 5G show heart rate on display during workout?

Does the iPod nano 5G in combination with the Nike+ sportskit and the Polar Wearlink+ Heart Rate Transmitter for Nike+ display the heart rate on the display during an workout? Is there a way to check the heart rate without having the display constantly on during the workout for this consumes a lot of energy.

Can I use the hearth rate transmitter only, i.e. without the nike+ pedometer?

I would like to have a functionality similar to Polar wristwatch/computers from ipod nano. I rarely need a pedometer in this sense, and I am uninterested in the nike+ pedometer that you put in the shoes. I have never used nike+ software, and I would like to know if I can use this transmitter only, without the nike+ pedometer, or better yet with the advertised internal pedometer, in the new generation of ipod nanos.

Do I have to wear Nike shoes to use the Polar and Nike technology?

I can't wear Nike shoes, always wear New Balance. Is it possible to use this Wearlink+ Heart Rate Transmitter for Nike+ while wear other sneakers?

I bought the new Polar FT60 which has the Wearlink+ strap, and have the Nano 5G and Nike+ sport kit. I cannot get the Nano to recognize the Wearlink+

Polar FT60 from Amazon - Has Wearlink+ strap and coded transmitter, but could it be the old transmitter? When I search for the Heart Rate Monitor on the Nano 5G (with the Nike+ adapter), it does not recognize the wearlink. Do I need to order another new Wearlink+ transmitter?

Can I buy only polar wearlink and iPod 7th , without NIKE product. Should it works?

Will the Nike+ Polar Heart Rate Monitor work with the iPhone4, if I plug the Nike+Sport Kit device into the iPhone4?

All the online discussions indicate that the Nike+ Polar Heart Rate Monitor is incompatible with the iPhone4. All Nike literature says that the Nike+ Polar Heart Rate Monitor will work with the Nike+Sport Kit. The Nike+Sport Kit is advertised as compatible with the iPhone 4 (although it says the dongle is not needed).

If I use the Nike+ Sport Kit dongle in my iPhone4, would that make my phone compatible with the Nike+ Polar Heart Rate Monitor?
