You have 2 options for SDRAM, a 4G and a 1G. I have a MacBook, version 10.6.4. The manual says I can add 2-2G modules. My question: Will the 4G work?

What exactly is installed in my MacBook to begin with? 2-1G modules, or 1-2G module? Could I install one 4G module and call it good? Can I boost it to 8G?

  • This is a full sized SDRAM DIMM for a Mac Pro and will not fit in a MacBook. You want an SO-DIMM.
