Would the MacBook pro fit in this if it had a speck seethru satin case on?

I would say yes, if it doesn't add much extra to the size of your MacBook. The slot for the computer is quite roomy, especially sides-wise (if that makes sense). The outside edges fit quite closely, but there is room to put your fingers in there, so I would say there's room for the satin case, too.
