Will Voice Control work if I use these earphones with a second generation, eight gigabyte iPod, but upgraded it to the 4.0.1 update?

I have a second generation iPod Touch (upgraded it to 4.0.1), which is eight gigabytes. Will these earphone make my iPod have Voice Control even though it is eight gigs?

    Simple answer No. No Voice control on the 8Gb.
    Voice control is added as an extra incentive in the higher capacity 32 and 64GB models. But voice control aside these are great earphones that allow you to take good quality voice memos that can be recorded and paused from the remote.
