Will Time Capsule be able to serve its files for a DLNA TV ?

I want to be able to show my photos & videos stored on Time Capsule on a DLNA certified LCD TV. Is there any technical restriction ?

Not directly. However, from another forum a possible solution is to mount a shared TC folder on your Mac, and install DLNA server software on the Mac to stream the files. This would require that your Mac be always up and not sleeping.

Also be aware of what file formats your TV supports. some transcoding may be required.

  • I use TC to store media and Twonky Media Server on an iMac to serve to the TV, as the other answer states, check what the TV can show.
