Will this work in a MacPro 3,1 not replacing but in addition to either the stock Radeon 2600 or the NVIDIA 120 I also currently have installed?

I added the NVIDIA card to use in addition to my stock card in order to run 4 monitors. This works fine unless I try to playback large HD quicktimes in ProTools. I'm looking to replace either my stock card or the NVIDIA card with the Radeon 5770, still using 2 cards for 4 monitors. If I upgrade to 10.6.5 or 10.6.6 will this work?

Yes. I have the 5770 installed with the older NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT and using them both simultaneously.

You should have no problems, except for the fact that as the 5770 comes with one DVI port and two Mini DisplayPort connectors (well mine did anyway), then you may have to also purchase a Mini DisplayPort to DVI adaptor.
