Will this stand work if the iPad is in a case, such as the one Apple makes?

I have a Speck case which fits perfectly in the Loop. The Loop's cradle 'gap' is quite wide - so I imagine it will accomodate fairly thick cases. As Apple suggest this stand is brilliant for the low angle orientation to allow desktop typing. Highly recommended.

  • According to the official Griffin site the stand will accommodate the iPad with most third party cases intact.

  • Yes. I bought the stand yesterday - it's great. I have my iPad in the Apple case and there is no problem at all. There is also sufficient clearance to have the dock cable plugged in without problems.

  • Our iPad has a Smart Cover as well as a gel cover for the back. We don't take the Smart cover off to store the iPad on the Griffin Loop Stand or to use the iPad when the cover is flipped to the rear.
