Will this product work well for recording college class lectures to my MacBook Air?

I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive and lightweight microphone to use with my MacBook Air (2010) to record lectures. Any thoughts about this product or any other solution? A MacWorld article earlier this year talked about using the USB Griffin iMic and another mic with a standard mini plug plugged into it . Apparently most of the other mics with mini plugs will not work with the Air's mini plug.

  • Yes this will work recording Class Lectures. I currently use it on my MBP for this exact purpose. I use it with Words built in audio recording. I have used Audionote but was not impressed.

*Disclaimer* Make sure you have permission to record your instructors during lectures as you can face Copyright infringement. Some instructors may let you as long as it is only for personal study.

All but one of my profs allow me to record. The one who doesnt has 11 books and 4 Audio Lecture CD's published and refuses to allow recordings for any purpose "because we are all pirates" *his words.
