Will this connector transfer music from my iPod to my iPad?

    No, because this cable is only for charging and syncing iPods, iPhones, and iPads to laptops, Macs, PCs and plugging it into a wall outlet for charging. If you want music from your iPod to your iPad you just need to sign in on the iPad with the same Apple account as in the iPod and all your music that you have purchase will appears under "Purchased." on iTunes.
