    Work but some function doesn't work on iPhone2G and 3G , Function that work is Mic and Audio. Function that doesn't work is Remote . If you want to use Remote.You must Buy iPhone3GS or iPod classic 120GB,160GB , iPod Nano 5th Gen and iPod Touch Gen 2 and Gen 3

  • Other post is not entirely correct. Audio and Mic work, but also, nearly all of the remote features will work too, including:

    - Press button once to play/pause
    - Press twice to skip to next track
    - Press three times to return to previous track.

    The only feature that doesn't work on earlier models is the volume buttons - they will work on the models described in previous post (including iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4).
