Will the beacon work with an IR repeater?

I currently use an IR repeater on my main remote to send a IR signal to IR receivers in all rooms using RF. I would like to use the Beacon to send the IR commands to my mobile IR transmitter, which would convert the signal to RF for long range and ability to go through walls and then convert back to IR if the IR signals are repeatable.
